Barry Cohen, 61, of Wedowee, AL passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Piedmont Regional Medical Center in Columbus, GA. Barry was born April 13, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Morris Cohen and Pearl Friedman Cohen. He was passionate about job as an independent auctioneer.

He loved wheeling and dealing with different sales opportunities and stretching the dollar. He like making people laugh, and enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, and gardening. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Cohen, and a brother, Steven Cohen.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 28 years, Laura Elizabeth Greer Cohen, one son, Andrew Lavin, and two brothers, Robert Cohen and wife Bonnie, and Mike Cohen and wife Sharon, two grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, his beloved pet dog Max, and many caring friends. The family plans to hold a private celebration of life memorial service at a nearer future date in memory of Barry. He will always be loved and his memories cherished; but he will never be forgotten.
