Glenn H. Anderson, 85, of Phenix City, AL passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital. A funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Lakewood Baptist Church with Rev. M.R. Hamilton and Rev.

Charles Keown officiating. Visitation is at the church 1 hour before service. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Ft.

Mitchell National Cemetery. Glenn was born July 20, 1932 in Planterville, AL, son of late Ulysses S. Anderson and Ruby Hunt Anderson. He retired from JH Williams as shift foreman and had worked at Continental Carbon and Alamet.

After retiring he enjoyed designing, creating and repairing jewelry, bowling with his friends and several other endeavors. He was an active member of Lakewood Baptist Church and enjoyed being in the sanctuary choir. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Swan “Buzz” Anderson and sister, Gail Schroeder.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Oakes Anderson; daughter, Leisa Anderson Bedingfield and her children, William Wainwright and wife Savannah and Thomas Wainwright; son, Glenn Hunt Anderson, Jr. and his son, Glenn Hunt Anderson, III; sisters, Ruby Anderson Martin, Lydia Anderson Ratcliff and Shannon Anderson Long and husband Henry; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Billie (Oakes) Carroll; several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
