Obituary for Chauncey Claibourne Ulbrich CLEBURNE – A Requiem Mass will be offered for the repose of the soul of Chauncey Claibourne “Clay” Ulbrich at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18th, 2018, in the Church of the Holy Comforter, Anglican, Cleburne. The Rev.

Christopher Woodall, rector, will be the celebrant. Musicians will be Andrew Schast (violin) and Candace Bawcombe (Organ). A reception will follow in the Parrish Hall of the church.

Ulbrich was born November 7th, 1941, in San Antonio, Texas to Chauncey P. and Mary Mildred Freeman Ulbrich. He grew up in Carrizo Springs, Texas where he graduated from high school. He died Oct.

11, 2018. He attended Trinity University, Southwestern University and Tarleton State College. In 1972, he was a resident of San Antonio where he met and married Jane Patrick Ulbrich.

The couple moved to Cleburne in 1978. He was a salesman for Dickinson Carpet and Floors in Burleson, Texas. As a resident of Cleburne, he was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and also portrayed two founders of the city – B.J. Chambers and Col.

Henderson – in a musical drama about the history of Johnson County called “The Inherent Legacy”. His memberships included Boy Scouts of America, National Guard Association of Texas and Sons of Confederate Veterans. Survivors: Daughter, Tuleta Copeland of San Antonio; two sons, Patrick Ulbrich and wife, Jennifer of Keller and John Ulbrich of Cleburne; one granddaughter, Hannah Grace Ulbrich; one brother, John Kent Ulbrich and wife, Faye of New Braunfels; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Brenda Patrick of Cleburne; two nephews, John R. Ulbrich of San Antonio and Rev.

Bryan Patrick of Waco; and four nieces, Mary Kay Rodriguez of Seguin, Lauren Caradec of New Braunfels, Tara Patrick of Cleburne and Carrie Samuels of Burleson. The family requests memorials to be made to the Organ Restoration Fund at The Church of the Holy Comforter, 209 E. Wardville, Cleburne, Texas 76031.
