GARVIN, CHERYL A. (COX), 70 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA (BLACKLICK TWP. ) On Saturday, November 17, 2018, Cheryl went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family and friends after a heroic battle with cancer. She was born November 16, 1948 in Alliance, OH, the daughter of the late Ralph Cox and Lucille (Ostermeier) Cox.

She had worked as an LPN for Frazier Medical Group, Homer City, PA. Cheryl was a member of the Chapel of Hope, Black Lick, PA. She was an avid member of the Blairsville Koffee Shop.

She liked going to the casinos, enjoyed horseback riding, camping and meteor showers. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and Grandchildren. Cheryl was a survivor of Guillain.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James S. Garvin Sr., Blairsville, PA; daughter, Christy Cook & husband, David, Homer City, PA; son, James S. Garvin, Jr. & wife, Kelly, Blairsville, PA; grandchildren: Luke, Kennedy, Ella, Ruby, John, Matt & Zach; sister, Diane Arwood & husband, Larry, OH; sister, Sandy Brion, OH; many Nieces & Nephews and her special friend, Weezie Brezinski. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Cox. The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, PA on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Hope, Black Lick, PA on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Pastor David Kimball will officiate. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania.
