Obituary for Cheryl A. Ross (Ahlstrand) Cheryl A. Ross, age 60, of West Haven passed away suddenly on December 11, 2018. For the past 27 years, she was the loving wife of Louis Ross. Cheryl was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Anders Ahlstrand and Joan Manzi Speranza.

She is also survived by her son John Ross of West Haven, her sister Lisa Simone, her brother John Speranza and her nephew Dane Simone all of New Haven, her niece Alexandra Simone of Wallingford and her former brother-in-law Anthony Simone. Cheryl graduated from East Haven High School, Class of 1976. She was very active with the West Haven Elks Lodge 1537, receiving “Women of the Year” award twice.

Cheryl was a sales clerk with at the United States Coast Guard Exchange. Her greatest love was spending time at her second home in Port Orange, FL. She was always counting the days until her next trip.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-8pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Saturday morning at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Victory Church at 11am. Interment will be private.
