OBITUARY Cheryl Geer Alexander October 14, 1959 – October 12, 2018 Cheryl Geer Alexander, 58, of Wayland, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018, after an illness. Born in New York on October 14, 1959, she was the daughter of Roderick Leland Geer of Marlborough and the late Mynema June (Birnie) Geer. Cheryl was a graduate of Butler University in Indiana and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Several years ago, she worked in insurance then became a preschool teacher. More recently, Cheryl worked as the Assistant Director of Children’s Ministries for the Trinitarian Congregational Church in Wayland. She was devoted to her faith a proud, dedicated member of the church.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her father, Cheryl is survived by her beloved husband of 29 years, Michael R. Alexander; three cherished children, Elizabeth Alexander of New York City, Christopher Alexander, Matthew Alexander, both of Wayland. She was the loving sister of John Geer and his wife Jennifer of Palm Springs, CA, Lila York of New York City, NY; proud aunt of Dr. Roderick Geer of Washington D.C.; also many extended relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 11AM at the Trinitarian Congregational Church, 53 Cochituate Street, Wayland. Interment will be held Thursday, October 18, at 2PM at Valley View Cemetery in Ticonderoga, NY. Visitation will be held Monday, October 15, from 5-8PM at the Duckett – J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road (Route 20), Sudbury.
