A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Newton on Tuesday morning, September 18th, 2018 at 10:30 AM for Chester F. Clasby, Jr Mr. Clasby, a son of the late Chester F. Clasby, Sr. & Stella (Hickey) Clasby, passed away in his home surrounded by family on Wednesday morning after a period of declining health. He was 81 years of age.

Chester was born in Waltham and was a longtime resident of Southborough. On December 15th of 1959 Chester enlisted in the Army National Guard of Massachusetts. He served for six years and was honorably discharged on December 14th of 1965.

After his service, Chester worked as a land surveyor. He worked on countless bridges that run over route 128. In April of 1964, Chester was elected as a member of the Veteran Association of the First Corps of Cadets in Boston.

He was the beloved husband of Helen (Kofos) Clasby. Loving father of Alison Kelley & her husband Chris of Barrington RI and Karen Sheridan & her husband William of Southborough. Dear brother of the late Alice Demboske and David W. Clasby.

Loving grandfather of Sophia & Amy Sheridan and Patrick & Olivia Kelley. Brother-in-law of Stanley Demboske. A visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept.

18th, 2018, from 9:00 – 10:00 am in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. Watertown, followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, 573 Washington St. Newton at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Private.
