Chester W. Setser, 87, of Osage Beach, Missouri passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at Harry S. Truman VA Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born July 18, 1931 in Tuscumbia, Missouri son of the late Chester and Mona (Flaugher) Setser. Chester was married on February 20, 1954 to Vergie Ruth (Lee) Setser who preceded him in death on May 29, 1996.

He then married Betty (Cartner) Harbison Setser on April 18, 1997. She preceded him in death on March 1, 2017. Survivors include, Daughter, Yvonne Christine Vitosky (Joseph) of Urbana, IL Son, Gregory A. Setser of Webb City, MO Four Grandchildren, Caitlin Clarke (Dan), Alec Vitosky, Ryan Setser & Lynsey Setser Two Great Grandchildren, River & Monty Clarke Brother, Ken Setser (Sandra) of Versailles, KY Sister, Lorene Whittington of Dallas, TX Step Children, Bradley & JoAnn Harbison of Eldon, MO; Deborah & John Leffert of Eldon, MO; Jan Harbison of Jefferson City, MO Chester served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

He was a member of the Mason’s, Shriner’s, Elk’s, American Legion, the Teamsters Union and the Eldon Golf Club. Visitation will be Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with a Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 AM with Full Military Honors will be presented following services at Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Livingston Cemetery at a later date.
