Martha “Darlene” (Taylor) Stover, 77, of Independence, passed away on October 26, 2018. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM with a funeral service beginning 1:30 PM all at Phillips Funeral Home 5 South Oak St. Eldon, MO. Interment will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery.

Darlene was born July 3, 1941 in Barnett, MO to Elisha and Gladys (Kelsey) Taylor. Darlene worked in customer service for the Independence Water Department, was an avid member of the Golden Girls, her group of friends that meet monthly in Independence, but her greatest love was her family. She is survived by her daughter, Darla Bass of Independence, her son, Kirk “Kurly” Stover of Independence, five grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Arlene Jones of Eldon, MO, Sue Enloe (Roger) of Eldon, MO, and Evelyn Bellamy of Grain Valley, O. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters and her granddaughter, Crystal.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
