Funeral service for Christene Sullins “Cricket” Ward, 79, of Priceville, will be Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 3:00PM at Walnut Grove Baptist Church with John Bain, Danny Ward and Mackey Watts officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00PM to 3:00PM Sunday at the church prior to the service.

Mrs. Ward died September 21, 2018. She was born May 28, 1939 in Marion County to Ola Lee Sullins and Bertha Winsette Sullins. Mrs. Ward was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

She was known to her grandkids as “Granny Stene” and to all of her friends as “Cricket”. She was a loving wife with a huge heart and a personality that brought a smile to everyone she met. She was your friend for life.

Mrs. Ward was a faithful church member that loved Jesus and loved to be around other people that love Jesus. Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Debra Ann Livingston; one brother and two sisters. Survivors Include: Her Husband, James Robert Ward of Decatur One Son: Danny Ray Ward (Terri) of Hartselle One Brother: Orbie Sullins of Hamilton, Alabama Six Grandchildren Six Great Grandchildren Pallbearers will be Wes Ward, Shanon Ward, Kimm Livingston, Danny Ward, Patrick Livingston and Bobby Franks.
