Obituary for Christine D. Pickering Christine D. Pickering, 65, of Yuba City, passed away April 12, 2018. She was born August 16, 1952, in Sand Point, Idaho, to Sharon and Neal Stenquist. Christine was a Yuba Sutter resident for 40 years and a retired special education teacher from Yuba City Unified School District.

She was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Yuba City Ward P.E.O. Sorority, volunteer for the Community Memorial Museum of Sutter County and volunteer at April Lane School. She is survived by sons, James Bucher and Stephen Bucher of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Sharon Winship of Reno, NV, Beth Kalbus of Carmichael, CA, Cindy McElroy of Roseville, CA, Mandy Judd of Coalville, UT; sisters, Jana Ethington of Yuba City, CA, Debbie Prawitt of Bountiful, UT; brother, Gregg Stenquist of Apple Valley, UT; and 13 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband, Joseph Pickering and her parents Sharon and Neal W. Stenquist.

Services will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 1pm with visitation starting at 12pm at TheChurch of Latter Day Saints Yuba City Stake, 1470 Butte House Rd. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Donations may be made to P.E.O. Sorority Scholership Fund.
