Christine L. Johnson, of Kentwood, died February 8, 2019, at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods after a battle with cancer. She was 74. Johnson was born July 29, 1944, to John and Anna Baakko of Quincy Township in Hancock.

She was a graduate of Hancock Central High School, Suomi College, and attended Northern Michigan University. Johnson retired in 2006 after working as district court clerk and magistrate for Houghton County and moved to Grand Rapids to be near her family. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Harry Coffill, and grandson, Harper; brother-in-law, William Kotila; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods, 8214 Pfeiffer Farms Drive SW, Bryon Center, MI 49315.
