Obituary for Christine Louise Carter Christine Louise Carter, age 67, of Powell, Ohio, passed away on December 25, 2018 at home. Preceded in death by her father, Roger M. Grossheider. Christine is survived by her mother, Maye Louise Grossheider, husband, Alan Carter, uncle, Clarke Mahaffy, and cousins Mike Mahaffy, Molly Ottolini, John Mahaffy, and Paul Mahaffy, as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Also a loving cat-mom to Nicky and Beau. She was a graduate of Normandy High School in St. Louis, Missouri, and went on to earn several degrees at Washington University in St. Louis, including BA in art history, MA in classics, and Master in Social Work (MSW). She was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Lewis Center, Ohio.

She was previously a member of the Church of St. Michael & St. George (choir member) and Christ Church Cathedral, both in St. Louis. She also was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority. Christie was a loving daughter and wife, an incredibly caring person, always thinking about others, and a person of strong faith.

She made a positive impact on many people, both personally and professionally as a counselor. Visitation and funeral service on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Lewis Center, Ohio. Visitation at 11:00 am, funeral at noon.

The Reverend Ronald L. Baird, Rector, presiding. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. Arrangements by RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL.
