Obituary for Christopher Anthony (Fonseca) Raines Christopher Anthony went to be with the Lord Friday morning at his mom’s home in Port Orange, FL. Although we are devastated by his passing we have peace knowing he is in the kingdom of heaven. Chris was an amazing spirit with a greater purpose than we’ll ever know.
He was a kind hearted, caring man who loved his family and friends with a passion beyond words. Chris struggled like so many do with addiction but that doesn’t change the love we have for him or who he really was inside. Chris was a lifelong resident of Seminole county, FL.
As a child he proudly wore number ‘28’ playing football for Lake Howell Eagles, POP Warner for almost a decade. Chris graduated from Lake Howell High School in 2008 and worked in the restaurant business most of his life, he was a great chef. His other passions included playing poker and fishing; Chris spent countless hours with his dad, cousin and friends enjoying the waters and sport of fishing.
Gratefully Chris was able to fish the waters of PA the past month almost daily while living a sober life. Chris is survived by his loving parents Amy Lyn Herron and Brian J. Raines; his sisters Angela Marshall (Sean Marshall) and Lorah Herron; his little brother James Herron; Aunts Susan Witt (Chuck Witt), Joanne Donnelly, Kelly Donnelly, Ashley Garin (Steven Garin); Paternal grandfather Jerry Raines; and many cherished cousins and loved ones. Chris is preceded in death by his grandmothers; Elaine Raines and Joan Donnelly, his grandfather James Donnelly and his Uncle James ‘Jimmy’ Donnelly.
Services for Chris will be held Sunday July 8,2018. A Visitation and Services will be held at our Maitland Chapel Starting at 11AM, followed by a Graveside Service at Glen Haven at 2PM. A Reception will be held after back at the Maitland Chapel at 3PM.
