Christopher W. Bogenski, age 42, of McHenry, died Thursday, September 27, 2018, at the University of WI Hospital & Clinics. He was born January 3, 1976 to William B. and Marilyn D. (Kucharski) Bogenski in Milwaukee. On June 21, 2003, he married Kelly E. Hoeppel at St. Francis de Sales Church in Lake Zurich.

Christopher loved baseball, and being a coach. He was also an avid deer hunter and enjoyed fishing the Wisconsin waters. Among other interests, Christopher enjoyed a good round of golf and grilling in the outdoors.

Christopher was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be forever missed by all. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Kelly; three children, Cole Hoeppel-Tranter, Max Bogenski, Paige Bogenski; his parents, William and Marilyn Bogenski; a brother, Steven (Char) Bogenski; nieces, Kristina, Alison; nephew, Adam; his in-laws, Michael and Carol Hoeppel; maternal grandmother-in-law, Mary “Bunny” Hoeppel; two brothers-in-law, Scott (Christina) Hoeppel, Kirk (Lisa) Hoeppel; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and neighbors may gather from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, L 60050.

A celebration of Christopher’s life will begin at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. The gathering will resume at 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. Mass on Friday, October 5th at The Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 W. Bull Valley Road, McHenry, IL 60050. Inurnment will be private.
