Funeral services for Christy L. Turner, 51, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Vic Bass officiating. Interment will follow at Westlake Cemetery in Jasper.

Ms. Turner was born December 18, 1966 in Jasper, Texas, the daughter of Willie L. Limbrick and Irene (Hadnot) Limbrick, and died Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Lufkin. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and was an avid Sci Fi fan. Ms. Turner is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Dwayne and Kathryn Bell of Vancouver, WA; sister, Brenda Gray of Jasper; sister, Annie Hadnot of Jasper; sister, Mona Smith of Diboll; sister and brother-in-law, Lynette and James Moye of Longview; sister, Billie McGee of Wappinger Falls, NY; brother and sister-in-law, Marcus and Patsy Limbrick of Brooklyn, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Willie and Anita Limbrick of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Renee Limbrick of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and Dajuan Logan of Lufkin; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie L. Limbrick and Irene Limbrick; brother, James Alford; grandmothers, Helen Jordan and Ora Beaty; and grandfathers, Alonzo Jordan and Earl Bryant. Pallbearers will be Avis Armstrong, Kevin Moye, Alan Moye, Bryce Limbrick, Joseph Smith, and Willie Limbrick Jr., Jamie Limbrick and Carl Limbrick Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin. The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice In The Pines; Dr. Rudis and staff and the Lufkin State Supported Living Center employees.
