Obituary for Chuck Melvin Charles Thomas “Chuck” Melvin, age 79, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 2pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Harold Miller officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 12pm until the hour of service at 2pm.

Burial in the Springfield Memorial Gardens will be Monday, December 3, 2018 at 10am with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mr. Melvin was born July 10, 1939 in Porterville, CA to the late John T. and Marjorie Bodley Melvin, Sr He was the owner of Allegra Printing in Springfield.

In addition to his parents Mr. Melvin is preceded in death by his brother, John Melvin, Jr He is survived by his wife, Connie Robertson Melvin; son, Ted (Angelica) Paisley of Murfreesboro; daughters, Evelyn (Stephen) Kay of Victoria, British Columbia, Julie Marie (Matthew) Zoolakis of Fresno, CA and Bonnie (Perry) Willingham of Springfield; sister, Susan (Leonard) Dickson of OR; and 7 grandchildren. Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
