Obituary for Rev Ronald Eugene Wesley Age 84 of Goodlettsville went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Alive Hospice Madison Campus. He was born February 28, 1934 in Cincinnati, OH to Jonah and Lacie Wesley. He served as a Pastor and Evangelist for the Nazarene Church.

He pastored 20 Nazarene churches from 1958-1996, and served as Evangelist or Interim Pastor at many others from 1996 until he went home to meet Jesus in 2018. He led churches in Kentucky, Ohio, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee, and was frequently requested as a guest speaker at international Christian rallies in Kenya, Egypt, and Israel to represent the United States. Ron was an expert in Biblical Prophecy, and both attended and spoke at Prophecy Conferences on a regular basis.

He also received many requests from churches to come and preach a series on the book of Revelation. When he wasn’t held up in his office studying scripture and writing sermons, he loved playing golf, reading books about prophecy and traveling to St. Simon’s Island, where he and Gladys searched for sand dollars on the beach and ate at Ron’s favorite restaurant, The Crab Trap. He was a member of Goodlettsville Church of the Nazarene, and loved singing in their annual Dixie Jamboree event.

In his golden years, Ron fulfilled his lifelong dream of earning a Doctoral degree in Theology. His capstone project was a series of sermons on the humility of Christ. He was a member of Goodlettsville Church of the Nazarene.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Viola Wesley; brother, James Wesley. He is survived by his wife of almost 27 years, Gladys Wesley, Goodlettsville, TN; son, Rev. Richard Wesley, Clarksville TN; daughters, Karen (Kevan) Smith, Goodlettsville, TN, Linda (David) Cooper, Louisville, KY, Renee (Ken) Mortimer, Goodlettsville, TN and Juanita (Brad) Kissell, Portland, TN; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
