Obituary for Lavonne West Idumea “Lavonne” West, age 76, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at NHC Springfield. No services are planned at this time. Mrs. West was born September 21, 1942 in Edinburg, IN to the late Oliver and Mary Burton Baxter.

She was a cook at a Truckstop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Burton, brother, Leonard Baxter, step-daughter, Sherry Smith and granddaughter Kristy Gale Hudgens. Mrs. West is survived by her husband, William West; daughters, Karen (Bill) Bower of Springfield and Brenda (James) Perry of Adams; step-son, Glenn (Debbie) West of Clarksville; grandchildren, Brandon Farmer, W.T. Farmer, Jonathon Grayson, Caitlin Ayers, Chelsea Perry, Joey Perry, Gary West, Matt West, Suzanne Wix, Chris Harper and Jennifer Maddle; and 17 great-grandchildren.
