Obituary for Rev. Stephen Lawing Rev. Stephen Lane Lawing, age 74, of Pleasant View, Tennessee died Saturday, November 3, 2018 at his home.

There will be a Celebration of Life service, Monday November 5th, 2018 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 11:00 AM. There will be no visitation prior to the service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at EverRest Cemetery with Sam Lawing, J.J. Watts, Jackson Watts, Danny Brown, Jerry Duckett, and Jerry Wayne Duckett serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Lawing was born on January 9, 1944, in Mooresville, North Carolina to the late Leonard E. and Ruth Norris Lawing. He was in the United States Army and he has pastored Free Will Baptist Churches for 22 years. He attended New Hope Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Mr. Lawing is survived by his wife Linda Duckett Lawing; son, Sam (Kimberly) Lawing; daughters, Kelly Lawing and Stephanie (Taylor “J.J.”) Watts all of Pleasant View; brother, Ronald (Mildred) Lawing; sister, Kay Linda Lawing all of Kannapolis, North Carolina; and nine grandchildren.
