Obituary for Robert Lee Hughes Robert Lee Hughes, age 83, of Ashland City, Tennessee died Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View, Wednesday, December 26th from 12:00 PM until 2:00PM. A private family graveside service will follow with Bro.

Don Dungan officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Hughes was born on March 5, 1935 in Port Royal, Tennessee to the late Al and Minnie Koonce Hughes.

He was a farmer and of the Free Will Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Hughes; daughters, Susan (Jim) Gilliam and Becky Hughes; brothers, Al (Sharon) Hughes, Jr. and Ralph Hughes; sisters, Helen Shipley and Mary (Terry) Gupton. If so desired, donations may be made to the Robert Hughes Memorial Fund in care of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View.
