Obituary for Walter “Pete” Allgood Walter Mathews “Pete” Allgood, age 94, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at NorthCrest Medical Center. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2pm in the Elmwood Cemetery with Brother Gene Brown officiating. Burial will follow with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield on Saturday from 12pm until 1:30pm. Mr. Allgood was born September 25, 1924 in Springfield to the late Robert Henry and Amanda Brinley Allgood. He worked for the Robertson County Highway Department as a Heavy Equipment Operator for over 30 years.

Mr. Allgood was of the Baptist faith and attended Lifehouse Fellowship Church. In addition to his parents Mr. Allgood is preceded in death by his brothers, Dallas Allgood, Bailey Allgood, Gene Allgood, Clarence Edward Allgood, Robert Allgood and William Allgood. He is survived by his niece, Debbie (Clark) Boudreaux and her family of Greenbrier, where he lived for several years.

Mr. Allgood is also survived by many other loving nieces and nephews that will all miss him very much. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Any donations may be sent in c/o Austin & Bell.
