Obituary for Elaine Claire Dillon Ashburn Ashburn, Elaine Claire Dillon, age 83, died on Friday, December 28, 2018 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield. A Memorial visitation will be held from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield on Monday, December 31, 2018. There will be no service following the visitation.

Elaine was born on May 10, 1935 in Springfield to the late Charles Edward and Janie Stark Dillon. She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church and was retired from Nasco as shipping clerk. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Hilda Jane Branham.

She is survived by sons, Bill & wife Laura Bagwell, Sidney “Bubby” Ashburn of Bowling Green, Kentucky; daughters, Cindy and husband Mike Farmer, Kelly and husband Steve Wilkins, Mary Jane Swords of Paducah, Kentucky, Bonnie Brewster of Springfield; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Alzheimers Association. All donations may be sent care of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield.
