Obituary for Joyce Marie Matherly Joyce Marie Dorris Matherly, age 75 of Greenbrier, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at her residence. Arrangements entrusted to Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier. The family will receive friends 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 and 10 am to 12 pm on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home Greenbrier.

The funeral service will be at 12 pm on Thursday at the funeral home with Dr. David Royalty officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery. She was born January 14, 1943 in Springfield, TN to the late James Wesley and Lula Bell Biggs Dorris.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin D. Matherly, Sr. Joyce was a homemaker who loved her family, watching her grandchildren play sports and she loved shopping. She is survived by sons, Melvin D. (Jody) Matherly, Jr., Timmy “Bubba” (Brandy) Matherly; brother, Wesley (Lillian) Dorris; sister, Frances Smith; grandchildren, Danielle Matherly, Holly Matherly, Hunter Matherly, Hayden Matherly and a great-grandchild, A’miyah Hyde. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
