Obituary for Charlet Laura Godwin Age 85 of Greenbrier passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at NHC in Gallatin. She was born January 8, 1933 In Franklin County, Missouri to Moses and Emma Hickenbotham Washburn. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of The Church of the First Born Hartsville, TN.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred J. Godwin; sister, Betty Brumley. She is survived by daughter, Ann (Roger) Ray, Greenbrier, TN; 2 grandchildren, Michelle (Danny) Gunter and Roger (Kim) Ray, II; 4 great-grandchildren, Victoria Lassiter, Austin Gunter, Paige Saylors and Madison Ray; 4 great-great-grandchildren, Grayson Lassiter, Paislee Saylors, Tanner Scott and Savannah Saylors. Funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 12 noon in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House.

Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Monday, November 12, 2018 3-8pm and Tuesday, November 13, 2018 10am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
