Innes, age 91, of Marlette, MI passed away with family by his side at his home Saturday, May 18, 2019. He was born January 7, 1928 at home in Marlette, MI to the late Stuart and Florence (Stanton, Howe) Innes. Clair was a lifelong resident of Marlette.

He married Patricia Jo Coltson September 11, 1948. Clair worked 28 years for Harper Elevator in Hemans and later worked for Norcross Excavating Inc. of Georgia. He was a member of the Lamotte Township Fire Department.

Clair enjoyed farming, family, camping and traveling. Clair is survived by three daughters, Cathy Wiegert, Crystal (Steven) McCready and Barbara Innes; one son, John Innes; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Patricia Jo Innes; his daughter, Wendy Skakle; two grandsons, Jamie and Darin; four brothers; and four sisters.
