Claire M. (Carney) Carr of Pawtucket passed into eternal life on January 2, 2019. She was the wife of the late John M. Carr. Mrs. Carr was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late John and Blanche Carney.

She was a longtime employee of the Pawtucket School System. While with the school department Claire worked at the Curtis school, and William E. Tolman High School. She is survived by her son, John M. Carr, a Central Falls Fireman, and his fiancée Laurie Jencks, of Pawtucket.

She was the mother of the late Karen A. Ware. She was the grandmother of Tyler J. Carr, Bryan Ware and Madison Carr. She was the great grandmother of Bryson Ware.

The funeral for Mrs. Carr will be Tuesday at 9:00 am from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa’s Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 am. Her burial will be in Mt.

St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket. The calling hours for Claire will be Monday from 4-7 pm in the funeral home.
