Claire R. Avignon, 72, a resident of Port Chester and formerly of the Bronx died November 25, 2018. She was born May 16, 1946 in the Bronx to the late Joseph and Adelaide Avignon. She was raised and educated in the Bronx graduating from Christopher Columbus High School.

Ms. Avignon was employed for over 30 years with Met-Life Insurance Company until her retirement. She was devoted to her family. Ms. Avignon is survived by her beloved sisters Janice Ratti and her husband Albert of Rye Brook, NY and Madeline Dostal and her husband Dieter of Windsor, CT, nieces and nephew Christine Czerniecki and husband David of Bernardsville, NJ, Denise Ratti of Rye Brook, NY, Nicole Dostal and wife Ali Fischer of New York City, NY, Michelle Dostal of Windsor, CT, and Eric Dostal and wife Jamie of Merrick, NY, great nieces and nephews Ethan, Marielle and Marshall Czerniecki, twins Riley and Max Gillespie, Haven Husman, Maddie and Gemma Dostal, twins Jesse and Nico Dostal-Fischer.

Visitation will be 4-8PM on Thursday November 29, 2018 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM on Friday November 30, 2018 at Saint Paul’s RC Church 84 Sherwood Ave. Greenwich, CT.
