Clara Gwen Walters June 18, 1940 – May 17, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Clara Gwen Walters,78, passed away May 17, 2019 at her home in Dade City, FL. Gwen was a lifelong resident of Rush county. She was born June 18, 1940 to the late Bob and Edna May.

She worked many years as The Director of Nursing at Millers Merry Manor, Formerly known as Jackson Nursing Home. Gwen was a graduate of Indiana University and Bethesda School of Nursing. She was a member of Eastern Star, Main Street Christian Church and Homer Federated Christian Church.

In 1967, she married her soul mate Jim Walters and they raised 5 children together. It was her life mission to be a loving caring Christian. Gwen loved to garden.

Gwen is survived by her daughters, Deena (Randy) Watson of Indiana, Alison (Dennis) Lemmon of Florida; sons, Michael Walters of Indiana, Don (Jodi) Walters of North Carolina, Van (Christy) Walters of Florida; brother, Robert May of Indiana; grandchildren, Ross, Anthony, Katie, Shane, Jake, Jamie, Emily, Bret, Travis and Logan; many loved great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents,Gwen was preceded in death by husband Jim Walters and grandson, Scott Watson. A private service of interment will take place in Indiana at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Burns Funeral Home in Milroy, IN.
