Clara’s Obituary Clara Lois (Eschberger) Robbins Clara Lois Eschberger Robbins finished her course and kept the faith. She went to the arms of the father on Friday, May 3, 2019. For her whole life, she was a faithful witness to family and friends until the very end.

She was the seventh of nine children born to Ewald and Clara (Kiesling) Eschberger on September 14, 1934. On June 18, 1955, she married the love of her life, Joe Henry Robbins. Together they raised three boys: Ricky Joe, Robbie Lynn and Randy Bob.

Clara supported Joe as he climbed the ranks of the Brownwood Police Department and she worked as a teacher’s aid in early childhood until her retirement. She would often see her former students as she walked through stores and you could see the love those kids shared with her. Her faith was always in the front of her life.

She taught Sunday School and Bible studies throughout her whole life. She has earned many crowns for her kingdom work. Her faith gave her strength to handle the untimely and devastating loss of her son Ricky.

Clara and Joe loved their kids and grandkids. They took their boys all over the country camping in a pop-up camper. They fished, camped, toured and lived life together.

She was a fabulous Memaw to Candice and Chad. They she became a Memee to Lacey and Laramie. She remained a Memee for her great-grandkids Levi, Ryleigh, Rook, Lenleigh, Karsyn, Southern, Coburn and Cavitt.

In the last five years, she became a beloved Grandmama to Renner, Easton and any day now- Asher. She was an attentive, sugar-sharing grandmother to them all. Her eyes would light up when she saw those kids.

Clara was predeceased by her parents, Ewald and Clara Eschberger; her husband, Joe; and her son Ricky Robbins. She was also predeceased by her brother, Eldon Eschberger; and her sisters, Evelyn Kunkel, Emily Kreisler, Elna Weiss, and Dorothy Hahn. She leaves the following to celebrate her life: 2 sons, Robbie Robbins and wife April of Burleson, Randy Robbins and his fiancé Donna Elam of Azle; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Candice Cline and husband Jason (Levi and Ryleigh Cline) of May, Chad Robbins and wife Jennifer (Renner, Easton and Asher Robbins) of Midlothian, Lacey Clifton and husband Ryon (Rook, Southern and CoBurn Clifton) of Salado, Laramie Ratto and husband Cade (Lenleigh, Karsyn and Cavitt Ratto) of Salado; her 3 sisters who remained close to her until she passed, Pauline Hutchinson and husband Bill, Irene Hunter, Lenell Hayes and husband Gordon.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, many great friends and Christian brothers and sisters. Funeral Services for Clara will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday May 9, 2019, at Coggin Ave. Baptist Church with Bro.

Tim Skaggs and Bro. Bill Allen officiating; interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood. The family would like to thank Jassia Roberts and Cristina Smith for the love and healthcare they provided that far exceeded their jobs. They became a special member of our family.

Thank you to her Redstone and Senior Care families, the doctors, Hill Country and Solaris for the loving care they also provided. Thank you to Tim Skaggs, Bill Allen, Mike Tittle and her family at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church for their visits and prayers. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Coggin Ave Baptist Church Scholarship Fund.
