Obituary of Clara Lance Clara Wolfe Lance age 87, of Wytheville, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018. She was born on August 17, 1931 to the late James Isaac and Mattie Heldreth Wolfe. She was preceded in death by three stepsons, Clyde E. Lance, Jr., Joseph D. Lance and John D. Lance Sr.; step daughter, Elizabeth V. Dean; niece, Shirley Rupe; two sisters, Frances Batnich and Mary Hoback.

Clara was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Wytheville. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James E. and Kathy Lance of York, SC; step son, Robert and Jeanne Lance of Wytheville; step daughter, Rosa Einhellig of Roanoke; nieces, Becky Borothlick of Seattle, WA; Mary and Mike Miller of Christiansburg; nephews Harry and Gloria Hoback; Wendell and Susan Hoback all of Wytheville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, November29, 2018 at Grubb Funeral Home with Chaplin James Cox officiating.

Interment will follow in the West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Grubb Funeral Home. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.
