Claro was born on August 13, 1937 in Piddig, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to his parents Hilario Bumanglag Sr. and Paula Pascua. Claro is survived by his children; daughters Melinda (Andy) Piano and Imee (Vic) Ramos Jr., and his sons; Raul (Aimee) Bumanglag, and Arnold Bumanglag.

Claro is also survived by his siblings. Brothers; Hilario (Violy) Jr. Bumanglag, Victor (Lolita) Bumanglag, Vincent (Melen) Bumanglag and Sisters; Merlina Gurtiza and Gladys Calpito. Claro has 7 grandchildren; Rosanna Bumanglag, Raul Bumanglag Jr., Krystle Roswel, Andrew Bumanglag, Ian Ramos, Victoria Ramos and Bryan Bumanglag.

For those who would like to support the family, there will be a celebration of life held at St. John Apostle & Evangelist Church on Tuesday December 11, 2018.
