Obituary for Mrs. Claudia Condron Mrs. Claudia Condron, 81, of Pittsfield, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019. Born in Troy, NY on July 19, 1937, the daughter of John and Sophie Pitts, she was a 1954 graduate of Catholic High in Troy, NY. She earned her Registered Nursing degree from St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsfield.

She also earned a bachelor’s degree from North Adams State College and a master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Claudia worked as a Registered Nurse at the former St. Luke’s Hospital, a teacher in Pittsfield Public Schools, and as an administrator with the Joint Commission for Hillcrest and Berkshire Medical Center. She worked as a nurse anesthetist for many years.

She was a member of Wahconah County Club where she enjoyed golfing. She sank a 20-foot putt in a sudden death extra hole to win the husband and wife Club Championship tournament at Wahconah Country Club in 1972. Claudia is survived by her loving husband Thomas Condron her daughter, Kelly Criswell, her two sisters, Gail and Linda and two grandchildren Ben and Alison Criswell.

Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Mrs. Claudia Condron will be Tuesday, January 8, 2018 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Church celebrated by the Rev. A. Peter Gregory, Pastor Emeritus. Entombment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201 in her memory.
