Claudia’s Obituary Claudia T. Cunningham, visionary artist, jeweler, fashion icon, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, left for Heaven on February 12th, 2019, at the age of 85, after a long illness. Claudia’s story starts with her birth on April 5,1933 in Sublimity, Oregon, the sixth of seven children of John and May Bentz. She married Robert (Shorty) Cunningham in 1952 and moved to Molalla.

Over the years, they welcomed four children, while Claudia developed skills as a tailor, interior decorator, home remodeler, accomplished artist and jeweler. The Cunninghams operated jewelry stores in Molalla and Beaverton. She was active at St. James Catholic Church.

Following her husband’s death, she moved to Silverton in 2003, and continued to serve the Lord at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Claudia is survived by her children, Gale, Grant, Claire and Glen, four grandchildren, her brother Ken Bentz, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Services will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

Rosary at 10:30 am, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 am . In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Claudia’s name to St. Vincent De Paul .
