Obituary for Mr. Clayo “Bob” Martin Clayo (Bob) Martin December 20 1926 – June 24, 2018 Clayo (Bob) Martin was born December 20, 1926, in Arnegard, North Dakota, to Howard C.M. and Rachel Martin. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dolores; son, Jeffrey (Juanita) Martin; daughter, Tammy (Dean) Tucker; grandsons, C.J. (Tawny) Martin, Matthew Martin, and Cole Tucker; great-grandsons, Jett and Jax Martin; sister, Beverly Larson of Portland, OR; and all the nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Rachel Martin; brother-in-law, Bill Larson; brothers, Duane and Russell Martin; and sisters, Betty, Ruth, and Ruby.

Bob worked 38 years for Union Oil as Superintendent in Marketing (Los Angeles, Phoenix, Colton, Anchorage, Alaska, and Bakersfield). He was retired for 27 years, enjoying traveling by R.V. all over the U.S. and Canada, and a visit to Korea. He owned an apple orchard in Payette, Idaho, and a dairy in McMinnville, Oregon.

Bob was in World War II, joined the Merchant Marines at 17, and served in the Korean War, receiving the Bronze Star for meritorious service. There were numerous people who loved him and called him Grandpa, and he will be remembered for his kindness. Thanks go to Dr. Linn, Optimal Hospice nurses, neighbors, friends, and employees.

Husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa – we all love you so much. Rest in the hands of God. A chapel service will be held on Monday, July 2nd, 2 p.m., at Greenlawn Funeral Home Northeast, 3700 River Blvd.
