Cleo A. “Sam” (Alsteen) Mayo, age 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday December 24th, 2018 after a brave fight with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Sam, along with her twin brother Clem, was born on Labor Day, Sept. 4, 1939 on the Alsteen Farm in Lena, WI to Luben J. and Philomene A. (Meier) Alsteen.

She was working part-time at St. Mark’s when she received her diagnosis of AML and sadly had to resign from a position she dearly loved.

She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed dancing and baking, was an avid Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers and NASCAR #88 Fan.
Sam’s greatest joy was spending time with and caring for her grandchildren. Much of her time was spent attending baseball, football, basketball and soccer games. Sam was the devoted and loving mother of Timothy (Gail) Mayo and Melissa Mayo (Tony Rodriguez).
In addition to her children, Sam is survived by her grandchildren Jalen Franklin, Jasmine Mayo-Rodriguez, Jensen and Janae Rodriquez, Chase Mayo, Quinn Pressel (Vida Rebello) and Shelby Pressel (Josh Eake) and great grandchildren Adaliyah, Dehklyn and Finnley.
