Clifton Earl Croom, 63, of Kinston, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Clifton was a lifetime member of Sandy Bottom Baptist Church where he served as treasurer, deacon, Sunday school teacher and more. Clifton worked with Lenoir County Government as Assistant MIS Director.

He loved to take pictures and spending time with his grandchildren. Clifton is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus “Pete” and Nona Howell Croom. Clifton is survived by his wife of 38 years Sue Croom; daughter Heather Stocks and husband David; son Jason Pike and wife Susie; grandchildren Carley Stocks, Spencer Stocks and Hunter Pike; brother Rufus Croom and wife Amy and numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Memorial service will be held at 11:00 Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Sandy Bottom Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Mondell officiating.

Visitation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sandy Bottom Baptist Church, 4568 NC Highway 55 West Kinston, NC 28504.
