On February 21, Cody D. DaRosa, 26, of Southwick, MA passed away at his family home. Cody was born September 14, 1992 in Holyoke, MA and lived out his young life in Southwick. Cody was a loyal son, brother, and friend who had a thirst for life and experiencing all that it had to offer.

His bright smile could light up any room but he was happiest amongst the tree tops. From a young age, Cody fell in love with the outdoors. Between dirt biking, days on the lake and riding around town with buddies doing things they shouldn’t, it’s where he thrived.

He was hard working and selfless. Cody’s passion for animals was unparalleled and all could see that in his love for his Boxer pup Kobe. Cody loved children; he shared a very special bond with his younger cousins Zachary and Dylan Cormier.

The group of friends that he had were like family and will always be. Cody is survived by his fiercest advocate and mother, Teresa DaRosa and her fiancé Karl Saunders of Southwick, his father Dale DaRosa and his wife Heather DaRosa of Westfield, Grandparents Bruce Page of Southwick and Marlene Page (Cody’s “girl”) of Southwick, Grandparents Arthur (Papa) and Maria (Mimi) DaRosa lof Southwick and his beloved siblings Jessica DaRosa (first partner in crime) of Agawam and Lindsey DaRosa (the third musketeer) of Montgomery, his step siblings Karlee Perez of Jacksonville, NC and Charlie Saunders of Springfield, MA, pre-deceased by his step brother, Brandon White. He also leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles and cousins whom he’s shared fond memories with.

Cody could meet anyone and make them feel as though they’d been friends for years. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. Visitation hours will be held Friday, March 1, from 4-7 PM at Firtion Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad St. Westfield MA 01085.

Memorial services to follow. Addiction does not discriminate. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Michael J. Dias Foundation.
