Obituary for Cody Joseph Powell Cody Joseph Powell, 23, of White Plains, Maryland, died on November 21, 2018 in Orange, California. Born on October 21, 1995 in La Plata, Maryland, he is the son of Richard Alan Powell and Barbara Christine Gilbert. Cody attended and graduated Northpoint High School.

He loved all sports, especially baseball, in Little League, was a two-time Maryland State Championship and a two-time World Series tournament player. Cody enjoyed writing, mainly poetry, and had a college grant for English. Cody aspired to be a counselor.

He was a very kind and loving soul. In addition to his parents, Cody is and always will be loved by his grandparents, Yolanda J. Powell, Michael Keller, Gail and Tim Trimble; step-mother, Kimberly Powell; brothers, Christopher A. Powell, Mathew and Michael Gilbert; sister, Elektra Gayle Powell; aunt and uncle, Tracy and Tony Powell, Pam Keller, and Michael James Powell; and cousins, Mathew Barry, Erik Keller, and Tyler Powell. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Earlie B. Powell and uncle, Gregory Earl Powell.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 5PM to 8PM with a Service at 6:30PM at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Avenue La Plata, Maryland 20646.
