OBITUARY Col Carl Eugene Bright July 18, 1930 – November 2, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Carl Eugene Bright Col USAF (ret) Carl Eugene Bright, age 88, of Southlake, passed away on November 2, 2018 at his residence. He was born July 18, 1930 in Jacksboro to the late Leonard and Belle Bright. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and colleague to all that knew and loved him.

Carl was a 1948 graduate of Jacksboro High School. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1952 with a Bachelors Degree in business. After graduation, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lt.

in the USAF serving in Washington DC for the National Security Agency. It was there that he met the love of his life, Joanne Urich Snavely. They shared 65 years of marriage and three children.

Carl served his country as a member of the US Air Force (active and reserve) for 30 years. He worked for British Petroleum (formerly Atlantic Richfield) as a Land Manager. He later worked for Arkla Exploration and American Airlines.

He was active in the Elks Lodge and was a past Exalted Ruler of the Grapevine Elks Lodge. He was a conservative man and enjoyed politics. His pastimes included playing bridge, computer games and watching old western shows on TV.

He loved to travel, especially taking cruises where he met many wonderful friends. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Joanne Bright of Southlake, TX; children Mark Bright, Darren Bright(Gladys), Carla Bright Northerner (Steve), Susan Hunt (George); Grandchildren Grayson, Cameron, Stephanie, Sean, Chris, Kevin and Michele; great grandchildren Jack, Delilah, Austin; beloved dogs Gabi and Jaxx. A Funeral Service will be at 12:30 pm on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd.

, Colleyville, TX 76034 with burial to follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.
