Conrad J. Fortsch, age 87, of Punxsutawney, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital. Conrad was born January 10, 1931 in Punxsutawney. He was a son of the late Clarence J. And Sara (Benson) Fortsch.

He was a member of Ss. Cosmas & Damian Church where he was the caretaker and also did maintenance work. Conrad was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie (Custer) Fortsch, two brothers; John Fortsch, Thomas Fortsch and one sister; Sally Ann Fortsch.

He is survived by four step daughters; Barbara Black and husband Stanley of Punxsutawney, Patricia Manchua and husband Ed of New York, Karen McCauley of Punxsutawney and Paula Warnick and husband Trace of Chicago, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Ss. Cosmas & Damian Church with Msgr.

Joseph Riccardo as Celebrant. Private interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Donatons may be made to the donor’s choice.
