DeSchutter, Constance “Connie” age 80, died May 7, 2019. Connie was born on April 21, 1939 in Detroit to Arthur and Gertrude (Harter) Carlson. Beloved wife of the late Rene.

Loving mother of Shari (Steve) Marshall, Curt DeSchutter, Kevin (Missy) DeSchutter and the late Wendy (Mark, still living) Papenberg. Proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren. Dear sister of Art (Mary) Carlson and Karen (Ken) Martin.

Connie enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, word search and crossword puzzles. In her younger years she loved to go camping, especially in the Copper Harbor area of the Upper Peninsula. Connie and Rene loved to travel and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

Their favorite places were Siesta Key, Gaylord and Arizona. They also enjoyed entertaining and eating out-they were well known at many restaurants. Her family will remember her as the ultimate fan of the Christmas holiday season, especially fond of donning Christmas sweaters and being with her family.

Visitation Sunday 2-6 pm and Monday 10 am until time of funeral service 11am at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. (4 blks E. of Woodward), Royal Oak.

Interment following at Mt. Avon Cemetery, Rochester. Memorial contributions to The Care Team Hospice are appreciated.
