OBITUARY Conrad C Garidel May 29, 1928 – December 2, 2018 Conrad C. Garidel passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at the age of 90. Conrad is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Joyce Hunt Garidel; daughter Susan Marie Garidel; sister Dolores Garidel Guarino; brother Louis Stephen Garidel as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Stephen Michael Garidel; parents Louis and Ida Garidel; siblings Lois Garidel Bekowski, Dudley Garidel, Beverly Garidel Landry, Marie Garidel Taix, Ida Mae Garidel Vega and Loretta Garidel Brown.

Conrad and Joyce were married on December 18, 1952 in St. Rose de Lima Catholic Church. He served in the United States Army. Conrad was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, Serra Club and American Legion.

He and his wife volunteered for over 15 years at East Jefferson General Hospital. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass on Saturday, December 15 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00am.
