Obituary for Cornelius “Kit” Robert Roscoe Cornelius Robert “Kit” Roscoe, age 88, of Greene township, OH, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born March 31, 1930, in Youngstown,OH, the third youngest of eleven children of Alexander and Judith (Brtko) Roscoe. Mr. Roscoe was a graduate of Gustavus High School; and went on to serve in the Korean War in the U.S. Army.
He was a machinist and retired from Wean United in Warren; and also loved farming at the family home in Greene. Mr. Roscoe was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Warren. He was a founding member and treasurer of the Antique Tractor Club of Trumbull County; loved to collect antique tractors and gardening; and was a Cleveland Indians fan.
Mr. Roscoe is survived by his wife, Arlene L. (Schultz) Roscoe, whom he married September 2, 1961; was a loving father to his 4 children, Kim (Izzy) Zarsadias, Kurt (Jodi) Roscoe, Beth (Eric) Weber, and Scott Roscoe; his brother, Richard Roscoe, Sr.; his 10 grandchildren, Geoffrey Roscoe, Hannah Roscoe, Jacob Roscoe, Jack Weber, Sydney Zarsadias, Andrew Zarsadias, Mikala Byers, Michael Byers, Ben Weber, and Isabelle Zarsadias; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Ilona Roscoe and Ethel Hamilton; and 7 brothers, Alex, George, Edward, Charles, Amil,William, and Stanley Roscoe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018, at 10:30 AM at St. Robert Catholic Church, 4659 St. Rt.
46, Cortland, OH, with Rev. Carl G. Kish officiating. Calling hours will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the church.
Entombment will take place in the mausoleum at Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Antique Tractor Club of Trumbull County, 1653 Ridge Rd. , Vienna,OH 44473.
