Rotterdam – Craig W. Aldi, 75, passed away suddenly on Wednesday October 24, 2018. Born in Elizabethtown, NY he was the son of the late Dominic & Ida Alice (Nicholas) Aldi. A lifelong resident of Rotterdam, Craig was a graduate of Schalmont High School & SUNY Canton.

Craig worked for Iron workers Local 12 for 20 years and then retired in 1986 from Mohonasen Central School District as supervisor of Building & Grounds. He was a life member of Pine Grove Volunteer Fire Department and was active in Rotterdam Little League & Babe Ruth for many years. His favorite destination was his camp at Piseco Lake while hunting & fishing with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Charlene who he married on May 28, 1964. His son; Alan (Lori) Aldi. His granddaughters; Riley & Delaney.

His sister; Jody (Michael) Archibald. His sister-in-law; Barbara Aldi. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Along with his parents Craig was predeceased by his brother, Michael. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2:30-4:30 pm at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home 1605 Helderberg Ave. , Rotterdam.

A memorial service will immediately follow at 4:30pm. The family suggests that flowers not be sent and contributions be made in Craig’s memory to Rotterdam EMS 101 Princetown Rd. , Schenectady, NY 12306 or Animal Protective Foundation 53 Maple Ave.
