Curtis B. Anderson, age 94 of Taylors Falls and formerly of Eden Prairie passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Parmly on the Lake in Chisago City. Curtis was born on July 11, 1924 in Columbia Heights to parents, Theodore and Alma (Peterson) Anderson. He attended school in Columbia Heights and joined the United States Navy in 1941 after the bombing of Pearl Harbor when he was 17 years old.

He was involved with five invasions during WWII. He met his wife Fern Fazel while they were… Read More » both working at Kellogg Cereal Sales Co. and they were married in 1951 and blessed with two children. They moved to Taylors Falls in 1955 and owned a Red Owl Grocery Store there until 1960.

They moved to Eden Prairie in 1964 where they resided for 40 years and where Curtis owned and managed a brokerage company. They returned to Taylors Falls in 2003 to enjoy their retirement years. Curtis loved spending time at the cabin with his grandchildren where he loved telling jokes and he also enjoyed his time hunting, fishing and golfing.

Curtis is preceded in death by his wife, Fern on October 24, 2018; daughter, Jane; his parents, one brother and four sisters. He is survived by his son, Scott (Sue) Anderson of Casa Grande, AZ; grandchildren, Jason (Lindsay) Bond, Thomas Anderson, Casey Anderson and Nicole Fitzgerald and his great grandchildren, Preston, Cecelia and Benjamin A memorial service will take place in May at First Lutheran Church in Taylors Falls.
