Dale’s Obituary Dale Clinton Robertson, 84, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at his residence. Dale was born November 23, 1934 in Boise, Idaho to Ross Robertson and Arlie Richardson Roberson. He had resided in Beaumont, Texas before moving to Sabine County in 1986.

He entered the United States Navy in 1951 and proudly served his country for more than 30 years before retiring as Master Chief in 1976. After retirement, he taught Naval Reserve Officer Training for Beaumont Independent School District. Dale enjoyed fishing and won the McDonald’s Bass Tournament on Toledo Bend Lake in 1986.

Dale is survived by his daughter, Jacque Davidson of Hemphill, Texas and Dawn Wood of Vidor, Texas; sister, Myrtle Talbot of Tuscan, Arizona; grandchildren, Robert D. Smith, Bryan Smith, Brandon Davidson, Dale Colvin, and Cody Wood; and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Robertson; and his daughter, Joni Colvin. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2019 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Floyd Wright officiating. Burial and Military Honors will follow services in Harper Chapel Cemetery, Hwy.
