Obituary for Dale Denny Dale Denny 84, born April 26, 1934 to Charley Fredric and Ada Eliza Jane(Jannie) Denny in Yakima, WA. Dale moved with his family to Kennewick in 1942. He attended Finley Elementary and Kennewick High School.

Dale had 4 siblings; they all preceded him in death Jess, Charlie, James, and Margarette Eckstein. Dale worked part time for the Northern Pacific Railroad, before being drafted into the Army in 1956 during the Korean War. He worked in communications and transportation and was stationed in South Carolina, he was honorably discharged in 1962.

Dale returned to work full time with Northern Pacific Railroad which later became Burlington Northern Santa Fe; starting out as a Fireman and retiring as an Engineer in 1996. Dale married Gloria Jakovac of Finley, WA after she graduated high school and he was transferred into the army reserves. They wed in April 1960 and their first child was born in 1961.

Dale passed on May 8, 2018 and is survived by his six children Anna (Tim) Wilde, twin sons Andrew and Fredric Denny, Dale Jean (Nick) Gentile, Nelle (Wayne) Vertz, Juliane (Dave) Bollman, 12 grand children and 5 great grand children. Dale was preceded in death by his wife Gloria, and Grand Baby Ailene Vertz. Dale was a long time member of the Old Time Fiddlers; he enjoyed bluegrass music and played fiddle, banjo, guitar, and mandolin.

He made several friends over the years while playing with this group. Dale enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting; he took great pleasure in being outdoors. Funeral services to be held Saturday May 19, 2018 at 10:00 am, at Mueller’s Chapel of the Falls, 314 W 1st Ave.
