Dale L. “Butch” Phillips, Jr., 65, of Trout Run, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 20, 2018 at his home. Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Gloria J. (Passuello) Phillips. Born January 7, 1953, in Blossburg, he was a son of the late Dale L. and Phyllis M. (Osborn) Phillips, Sr. Dale attended Liberty High School and retired from Ward Manufacturing in 2015 as a machine operator after 45 years of employment.

He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and feeding the birds. Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Timothy L. Phillips, of Trout Run and Lisa M. Cortright (Troy), of Williamsport, three grandchildren, Taylor and Ryder Phillips, and Tyler Cortright, a brother, Harold “Buster” Phillips (Paula), of Morris, a sister, Beatrice “Sis” Plumley (Phil), of Wellsboro, a sister-in-law, Cindy Phillips-Rumsey, of Millport, NY, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parent she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter “Stubby” Phillips.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
