Dale “Patrick” Pierce 77, passed from this life on Friday, September 14, 2018 at his home in Little Traverse Township. Pat Pierce was born on March 25, 1941 in Hillsdale, Ml. At age five the family moved to Ridgecress, CA.

and lived on the base at China Lake Naval Air Base Weapons Station. His father was a teacher and eventually became the superintendent of schools. His father was so revered that they named a grade school after him.

After High School Pat attended Barber School and Auto Trade School. He then moved to Harbor Springs where he pursued a successful career in electrical contracting. He started with Bob Squires at Squire Electric and then went on to build his own successful business, Pierce Electric.

He loved to sail and travel to Great Exuma, Bahamas, Ireland and Mexico. He loved coming home to his cottage on Beaver Island and enjoyed many years at ldlewild. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Dody, son Grant, Redondo Beach CA, son Mark (Jamie) and two grandchildren Hunter and Morgan of Harbor Springs Ml.

Pat is also survived by two brothers, Michael and Jack Pierce of Harbor Springs Ml. and many nieces and nephews. No public services are planned.

His family and close friends will remember him privately. Those wishing to remember Pat through a charitable contribution are asked to consider Little Traverse Bay Humane Society or Rising Hope Riding Center. As Pat often shared and his epitaph should read: “I’ve been here for a good time…not a long time”.
